Xbox 1.0 -- Xecuter 2.6 ce Lite + Xapt3r install problems

Ok now I am a pretty big newb at this.. Modded an xbox almost 3 years ago and it recently burnt up.


So recently went to divineo and ordered an Xecute 2.6 ce lite + an Xapt3r solderless adapter..

Bought an old 1.0 Xbox used...

Installed the Xapt3r and the Chip ...

The Adapter lights up Blue... control panel for the chip lights up with the Green light.

so everything seems fine..


The Xbox boots to the regular Xbox screen.

I have tried putting Evo Dash on a CD... Ive tried burning Autoinstaller.. Ive tried these on CD-rs .. DVD+Rs and DVD-Rs to no avail.

The xbox always says "bad disc cannot read"

anyone have any guesses as to what I might be doing wrong?

I think that you've booted into MS default dash and not the "hacked" dash. From memory, the ligth on the control panel should be red indicating MS dash. You might want to "wiggle" the DIP switch a bit and see if it makes any difference or not. Also, I've heard people reporting that the cabling for enabling/disabling the chip is sometimes reversed so you might want to try booting up with the DIP switch in the other position.
