Xbox 1.6 power on alone

First of all sorry about my poor English.

My problem is that i have all solderes right, anb when I Plug the xbox, it starts alone (I don't push the power button) and no image are on TV, and I can´t power-off or open de DVD drive (The buttons don't work).

If I connect the yellow wire of the buttons, directly to motherboard, it boots fine, but the chip doesn't work.

I have the two leds of the chip on (3,3 and 5V).

Any solution for it??
Can it be a bad X3?

Did you use the pinheader to install? if so did you remove pin# 6?

Yes I did.

The buttons not working could be due to a solder bridge on the back of the power/eject pcb adapter. Peel off the sticky backing on the adapter and check to see if there are any solder bridges ... if there are then cut them and the buttons should work properly.

Now, I'm getting video on tv. I can play original games. But the problem is the same. The xbox power on tself and the led of the External switch is red. I can't power off the xbox.
I saw the back of the reset eject/ adapter and it seems to be ok.
If I disconnect the Eject/Reset red cable I can power-on and power-off the xbox (the buttons work fine) but when I plug the Eject/Reset cable it power on itself and the buttons don't work.

Anyone knows If I can boot with the modchip enabled without the Eject/Reset Adaptor disconnected?

i am having the EXACT same problem, but my external bios bank isn't lighting up. I have no clue what is going on. I have checked the back of the daughterboard and tested it with a multimeter and everything checks out. plz help!
