Xbox 1.6b and Xecuter 2.6CE noobie question :)

Hi, I have a xbox 1,6b and a Xecuter 2,6CE with LPC rebuild, as a noobie, I have to ask this... Do I need to fit the LPC rebuild pad on xbox 1.6b or is it only for xbox 1.6??? and where do I find the latest Xecuter Bios for it?

yes, fit the lpc rebuild onto your 1.6b board as it is for both 1.6/1.6b boxes

Tip for installing the LPC rebuild. When starting with the first solder point (you choose, doesn't matter) have the LPC taped down on the motherboard. This way the rebuild won't move around and you have both hands free to work the iron and feed solder. Once you have solder making that first joint the tape can be removed... but before I do that I like to make sure the rebuild is flat on the board. I put some pressure on the rebuild board with my now free hand (solder is already there, don't need to apply more just yet), go back with the iron, apply enough heat to that joint to make it liquid again and let it go flat to the board. Remove the iron while still holding down the rebuild and give the solder a couple seconds to cool. You should now have a rebuild fairly tight against the board, helping to make later solder points easier to work with. You should be able to take the tape off now. If there is still any bow to the rebuild you can continue to use this same process and after hitting a couple of the points the rebuild should be nailed down flat. I find it easier to work with the "far out" points first and save the little pin 7 jumper for last.
