my friend and I have installed the XE3CE chip on a 1.6b XBOX, but we are having a lot of trouble trying to flash the BIOS... Whe usually can't get into FlashBIOS unless we boot from small banks (5, 6, 7, 8 only... 1,2,3,4 are black), but when flashing it stalls at 25% or 50%. When we try to boot from 1234 or 5678 all we get is a black screen. Booting with Power/Eject-button is also black even though the LED is red/blue.
Here's what happens:
256k banks:
1 and 2: Black screen, Eject Button: Red
3 and 4: Black Screen, Eject Button: Green at first, then Orange.
5, 7 and 8: dies twice, 3rd attempt is a black screen and Red/Green Flashing Eject button.
6: basically the same as 5,7,8 but it dies a bit quicker.
512k:
12 - Boots working Flashbios... but we don't dare to do anything.
34 - Black screen with Red Eject Button.
56 and 78 - Dies 2, 3rd attempt shows a black screen and Red/Green flashing Eject Button.
1MB:
1234 - Black screen, green Eject Button
5678 - Dies twice, 3rd: Red/green flashing
2MB:
FlashBIOS.
We've flashed 256k 5 and 6 and they halted at 25% and 50%.. now we don't dare to do anything else.. Does anyone have any suggestions?
