Xbox 1 controllers work on the xbox 360??

Does anybody tried or know if the xbox 1 controllers works on the XBOX 360 after a USB modification?? I know they work with the PC but i can't get the XBOX to recognice it! thank you!!!

IDK that you can - i havent read anywhere about this mod being done. I'm sure someone can probably figure it out if you properly wire it to match the new controller layout.

Nope, nobody's done it. I've tried connecting an Xbox controller through USB and it didn't work. I also tried a 360 controller on Xbox, that didn't work either. I think it's just easier to buy a 360 controller then it would be to do the research of getting the controllers working.

Yes it's easier to buy an xbox 360 controller but also it's more expensive, i've already spent a lot of money on my 360, and i have 4 xbox 1 controllers, that's why i'm so concern about it! If anybody has any ideas!!
How come the xbox 360 controller works on the computer and the xbox 1 controller mod with the usb adaptor does too? Weird eh!

No, not weird. It's called drivers. They won't work on your PC without the drivers. So, if you can somehow get those drivers on the 360, you'd be good. But if you were able to do that, you'd have a breakthrough on your hands, haha.

Yeah i know! we need the drivers to put on the xbox 360 so it works, i really don't know how to do it, but probably peoplo who knows the 360 from top to bottom might want to give it a try!! so lets give them a little job!jeje...hope some one knows how to breakthrough the encrypt!! hehe

Think maybe Duke joysticks would solder into a wireless 360 controller board in....hmmm?

Its not a matter of soldering, the thumbsticks just pop on and off. I havent tried it, but you might be able to take apart the 360 controller and pop the duke joysticks on there, unless of course m$ made them different.

no it won't work on the 360 because you have your xbox button for the 360 and you dont have it on your xbox 1 controller
