Hi everyone.

So of course im new here, posting in this area, and am looking for some great help. Been browsing this site and several others looking how to JTAG my 360, and found that theres several different ways and tons of different modchips. Got pretty confusing. Plus first time doing modding like this.

So I have 2 360 consoles. Heres the details of them I know so far.

Xbox 360 Elite
Zephyr
Dashboard 2.0.7371
Has not been sent in, turned on, or connected to the network for years, so I'm pretty sure the CB version is the correct one
NAND size is 16MB I think

Second one

Xbox 360
Zephyr
Dashboard 2.0.6xxx
Has not been sent in, turned on, or connected to the network for years, so I'm pretty sure the CB version is the correct one
NAND is also 16MB I think

If theres any other info needed, please send a link on how to find it.

For what I'm looking to do on both of them, but for simplicity, I'll start on the Elite, I want to be able to download games to the hard drive and play them without a disc, emulate other systems on it, and play online with a modded server.

So what method do I use, and what modchips should I be looking at. There's a ton out there and don't want to be buying the wrong ones.

Thanks. So I'm looking at the Xecutor CoolRunner Rev C mega bundle. Seems like that would be the one to use on my Elite. Is that the same as the TX or is it different?

And it seems like that method I have to update to a later dashboard and burn some of the transistors out. Is the lower dashboard mod better of would I be able to get more out of a higher dashboard version being modded?

You need diodes (1n4148, for example), and any SPI flasher for NAND Read/Write (JR Programmer, for example)

Dont update them and use a coolrunner, no need, as 15432 says a couple of diodes some wire and a nandx or jr programmer and your away.

I already pointed them to the road map, so I would suggest reading it again. all you need is 2 diodes, like i told you and some wire, and something to read/write nand with. this is all explained in the roadmap for noobs, which was linked to you above.

I think you have to read it different. He (in my opinion) isn't referring to piracy downloads, just to transfer (download games) them to his hdd, emulators are oke and probably meaning link for modded servers... He just has a poor choice of words...

Could be way off though...

Op, please be aware that u are very lucky to have consoles below dash 7371. As already stated do not update, u do not need any glitch chips for original jtag hack which a little reading would have told u. With a jtag/rgh console, u cannot go on xbl without getting banned. Unless u have a second retail NAND in your console (Demon chip). If u want to play modded games on modded networks, u need to login to linksys or xlink kai. Trying to play modded games on xbl is both lame and not supported on this forum. Good luck with your mods.
