Hi there every body.
I use to have a old xbox that was chipped and had a custom dash so you could have installed games on the HD

i have now got my son a xbox 360 with a ZePHYR mother board with HDMI in it.

I was looking to chip or flash my xbox I don't know what Dashboard is installed but let's say the newest one.

i would like to play backups and if potable be able to play the games without the disk in the drive.

can anyone help please......

you would need rgh to make it play games off hdd,and rgh dont play well with zephyrs,i would try to get a jasper or slim and rgh it.

If you are going to chip a zephyr I would look into an RJTAG or wait for the C4XL but yea best bet is to get yourself a nice Jaspy or Trinity

Im looking at a jasper with dashboard 9199
i have seen this mentioned before what's so specials about this dash ?

Nothing special about that dash, if it was 7371 or lower it may be possible to JTAG, if it is 14699 or lower you can use RGH1 which works great and then 14717 and above is RGH2 which is best then to use R-JTAG.

what at would be the best mod so I can play backups and play games off the he without disks ......

Get a rev c coolrunner and go for RGH1 that will work great.

Yes you do RGH 1 and then when you create the freeboot image it will be the latest dash, you can send the necessary kinect updates from Jrunner. Zephyrs are not the most reliable console though..youd be better of with that Jasper.

I never had any troubles with zephyr on rgh1. Other then They are prone to Rrod.

Exactly ! They glitch RGH 1 fine but they are nearly as bad as Xenons for dying so best to stear clear

right I have now gone for the slim Xbox [Trinity (Valhalla)] version. with 10.83 amp PSU.
i have got the coolrunner.
what diagrams are the best to install chip and to download firmware. (need pictures etc for hard wiring not QSB's

u can go ahead and update it now. Dashboard kernel doesnt matter on slims. Slims will always be rgh2.

he is talking about a trinity. It doesn't matter what dashboard he is on. A coolrunner rev c works brilliant with Trinity's. Or if u are in no rush u could have a go with the cr4 wen it is released. But I wud just go with the rev c.
