sorry i accidentally pressed post even if im not done yet. here's my complete post:

my 2nd problem is..i have a friend who has a flashed 12625 dash lt+1.91 xbox 360 slim w/ 0225 liteon drive and i wanted to update his console to lt+2.0 and 13599 dash. i have a spare unlocked 9504 drive board & 0225 drive board also. can i use my spare 9504 or sputnik unlocked 0225 mxic driveboard to update his console to 13599 so it wont lock his driveboard then ill flash his 0225 drive board to lt+2.0. is this the right procedure? or if you have abetter one can you guide me or point me to tutorial how to do it?

You can just flash your drive as a benq and put the hitachi key on it - it is not supported and certainly not safe for live..... use the manual spoof button in JF and paste the key in thier, usee tab to get out
'They say' the 0225 drive was originally locked, and therefore no update to the drive was attempted during the dash update that also updated the drives, BUT that is your choice to make after reading others opinions, but yes in thoery you can do what you posted - if you use the 9504 you will have to lock it after the flash, it will then require a Sputnik or kamikaze hack if not already done. (the other drives will require locking and unlocking as well)
and lt3 for slims is out now

Open hitachi as source, you are only doing that to get the key, do not press yes to auto load - copy the key (right click mouse, copy) load LT3 firmware for benq, click manual spoof and paste your key in the box, the press tab and click ok, then flash your benq.
I thought you were going to use the unlocked boards to put original firmware on before flashing, otherwise no point removing, and replacing with similar if all your going to do is put the same firmware back on it

Lastly,on the slim xbox if im just gonna update his firmware can i skip restpring it to stock? Coz i've done a couple of jasper liteons and i upgraded it straight away w/o reverting to stock & all were successful.

hi i tried to change my hitachi v59 to benq drive & i have a little problem "i guess im a super noob" anyways here's what happened:
1.i saved my hitachi hit-ofw dummybin to my pc
2. then i connected my benq drive to my pc using x360 usb pro & ck3i
3. i opened firmware tool the clicked "open source firmware & i chose my saved hit-ofw
4.then i opened manual spoofing and pasted my hit-ofw on "load key bin" then i chose spoofed as benq & pressed ok.
5. then went back to firmware tool and pressed "spoof source to target" in the jf log this appears "identity strings not copied"
6. now in the firmware tool page i could see that both dvd key matches and lt+2.0 ready to load so i went to "MTK flash 32" & clicked benq unlock the when its in vendor mode i pressed read then it would ask me to save the benq-ofw. after i save it,i pressed the write button.
7. i after it erases & reads "write verified" appears so i pressed outro/ata reset" the " the drive is is benq" appears in jf
8.then i connect the drive to my unit then tried it out all games old copy games & original one's appears play dvd,when i tried a copy xgd3 game..it says play game then when you hit 'A" it goes back to the menu again.
can you please point out where i went wrong & if you can guide me through it.

Ok thanks,i was able to view my post just now coz the site was down yesterday. Ill give it another shot today and thanks for pointing out where i went wrong.
hi chancer13,just got the chance to try it out just today & i followed everything you mentioned and i think it did ok but when i tried it on a copy xgd3 games it shows "play game" but when i press A to play it,it goes back to the dashboard.

XECUTER X360USB PRO removed.
When you pasted your key in the box after pressing manual spoofing you have effectively done the process 'manually' - therefore, there is NO NEED to press yes to auto, when you read your benq, you were reading the HIT custom firmware (CFW) and then you told JF to replicate that onto new firmware, i.e. a benq drive that looks like a hitachi......
I have never said use the auto funtion.
You have the KEY
You have the firmware
you have to put the key in the firmware by way of pasting it into 'that' box (then pressing tab and OK)
all you need to do after that is get the device into vendor mode and write to it - should be job done
If you get play DVD after that, then the likelihood is you have got the wrong key for the box.

Use the JungleFlasher guide, it is there on the JF website - and remember - you only want the key
