Hi guys,

My Xbox 360 dvd drive had an custom firware for about 5 years. A few days ago, i returned the original firmware back in order to update my console from 2007 to 2012. I've tried to apply the sammy LT~2.01 version to my drive using Jungleflasher. But what happend was, I pressed on write, in order to write the CFW to the drive, while it was allmost near done, there was an error. Drive turned into a unknow state if i could remember. Now, each time when i boot the Xbox 360 when hooked to VIA using SATA my windows directly freezes. Until i shutdown console. I've searched the whole day for about 9 hours for a solution using this site, google etc.. but nothing helped. So, anyone know any good advices?

thanks

Give Dosflash a try, or remove the VIA drivers as per the JF tutorial to keep your system from freezing up, then attempt recovery via JF.

I tried to search the tut for any solutions, the only thing i've red is as follows: "Some chipsets don’t like the Inquiry and will hang the system.''

I've tried to remove the sys files in the windows/system32/drivers folders, i've tried to remove/replug the PCI VIA card. Still the same thing. Any suggestions?

If you're getting the same hanging issue after removing drivers, there's not a whole lot to suggest besides re-reading page 26 and page 197. Two ways to potentially recover the drive. Only minor alteration to page 26 is attempt to send the Intro command before turning the drive on the first time seeing as it freezes your system..
Edit: Where are you located? I'd be willing to swap your Samsung's logic board for one of mine if you cover postage.
