Xbox 360 slim has red light on start button.

My xbox 360 slim won't start after taking apart to flash drive from LT+2.0 to LT+3.0 now I want to use online..
I dont have original power supply,I am using a slim power adaptor that fits phat xbox 360 power supply.
Can anyone help me solve this problem.
As soon as I press the power button it goes green for a fraction of a second then turns red,fan runs but nothing on screen.

Only goes in one way the 2 notches to the top,I checked and I would have to force it the other way.
Still got red light,any other idea.

Check to make sure nothing is lying on motherboard causing a short. I remember someone bringing me a box with similar issue on a phat though and it was one of them metal strips that sit on the dvd drive front chassis laying on motherboard.
Check for no shortages

I have took the motherboard out of the frame and tested again and still the same problem so must not be a shortage.

Any other idea's
