Hello guys,

i have a Xbox 360 Slim with Corona Motherboard. There is the Winbond RAM. I have a problem with it because its overheating. I have managed to repair it but without sucess. It is overheating but the Xbox itself is cold as ice. When i start the Xbox, the Fan start to spin until it reach the maximum speed. Then after few seconds Red DOT appears. But the Xbox itself is cold. I have tried to Reflow the whole motherboard but that doesnt work. I have Reflowed the HANA, NAND, RAM and XCGPU but without sucess. I have watched over the whole Motherboard for los contact or cold contakt but nothing. USB are OK as same as the other ports.

Does have somebody an Idea for solving this problem?

Thanks

what are you using to reflow it? what equipment are you using? and what type/make of thermal paste have you used? plus what else have you done or tried to do to it?

I ahve a AOYUE 968 Reflow Station. I am using this for about 2 Years without problem. I use Arctic MX-4 Thermal Paste. I have tried reflowing the XCGPU, NAND, HANA and RAM but witohut sucess. I also checked USB port and other for contact but everything is OK. I have tried to reflow the whole Motherboard for cold point but without sucess too.

When i turn the Xbox on. It starts normal, then the Fan starts to spin till it reaches the max. spin. After that it shuts down or shows RED DOT.

then a reball will have to be done either the southbridge or gcpu or even both, not really cost effective really unless you have the correct equipment and are competent
to do it yourself.
