Xbox 360 To access files from Old xbox?

Does anybody wonder if we will beable to access are files from our old xbox.
I know they said we would beable to access files from a media center pc.
so I think it would be really cool if our old xbox becomes a media center and the 360 can access the files via the network aka backup dvds. I was just wnadering if anybody had heard anything about that.

I would think it would only be possible with homebrew software, probably a linux distro run on a modded xbox.
