ive been wanting a tvo or some kind of pvr but there expensive like the satelite one and the tvo not something i would like to pay but i was wondering if there was some sort of xbox app or something that could record live tv and store it to my hdd or anything that could do this?

Umm you can't really send video signal into your xbox and your DVD/VHS player dosnet have an Ethernet port. So no not possible
people are working on this, or at least they were. their is no video in on a xbox. but you can add a usb port to your xbox and use a usb video cap device. so far you need to be running linux on the xbox to get it to work.
you can use your xbox to run a frontend for mythtv (linux software).
still requires a second linux box to do the actual recording, but anyway you may not want to have the xbox on 24/7 in your living room so that's almost a feature

some of the KiSS dvd players have ethernet ports for the purpose of streaming media, I wonder if they can stream from the scart inputs, that'd be interesting.

I am trying to mod my 360 Elite without using any solidering or probing techniques. I have read some tutorials and watched video but I am unable to use jungleflasher (i have tried ver. 0.1.59, 0.1.62, 0.1.75).
After i cut the power off from the 360's dvd driver i push it in halfway, hook it back up ot the xbox 360's dvd power cable and press the dvd power button. However i am still unable to get the dvdkey. Also when i use jungleflasher 0.1.75 i get a error message (screenshot below).

I just left my 360 the way it is now: open and cluttered with wires.
I want to finish today or tomorrow

It would have been easier to use a probe for your Liteon. Beats cutting traces and possibly wrecking your drive.
