xbox case design

been playing with the idea of building my own since xecuter posted their design, i wanted to share my own to get comments, and possibly give xecuter some ideas for internal layout, probably not but worth a try ^^

without further ado.

overall look

same layout from above and behind, note the left side used for hdd stacks, with its own fan

horizontal view, note how the x3lcd fits snugly into the face

the design is by no means complete yet, the controller ports will be in a line of four below the dvd drive's door (which flips down), there will also be a vertically aligned usb port between the x3lcd screen and dvd drive door.

just to note this is in no way meant to be in competition with x3's design, theirs is great, this is just something i felt like making myself

Nice compact design

2 hdd's and 2 fans, the thing would sound like a jumbo...

It's nice and clean, but there is no room for controllers, USB, and bank select.
LCD placement is centered, witch IMHO is bad... (left or right)

And it look like an medium old VCR...

It's not as smooth as what we've seen of the Xecuter case, but it doesn't look bad.

I like it, I would like to see a way to bring in the dongles for the wireless controllers. That would be slick

Im a drafter so i can design and fabricate parts fairly easy...

if your model had a few more external details and some more of the functions that the xecuter model has (like pro switch, controller ports) then i would definitely have to say i like your design much better than the one on the front page.

This design looks more like an entertainment system than the xbox case does and it will probobly match most people's setup very well
