Yep it's for sale on ebay for $1000+ I think. Is that legal?

Thanks for the link. i guess using ebay.com.au doesn't allow me to search for items in other countries all the time. IT's weird because I often get xbox's for sale in Brittain or the US... oh well.

It's not illegal to sell something you OWN, ebay however has guidelines that make it so you can't sell certain things. That's why ebay removes listings, not because it's illegal, because it's against their guidelines that you agreed to.

Yeah that's right for modchips on ebay. But isn't the XBOX Dev Kit only legally allowed to be owned by game developers?

I think devs are the only one allowed to buy it from M$ but if a Dev company closes or goes under they sell off everything, might have been one way to get a hold of one. As long as you buy it from someone other then M$ I think it's ok.
