I was trying to update my xbox slim rgh last night so we could used our new kinect. now turns on doesn't move from lack screen with green center light on please help i'm a total noob

I need to find out how to get my xbox auto start into freestyle dash

from the link download the dvd option and burn it to a dvd disk. then put it in your xbox and play. from there you should understand what to do. that will start FSD automaticly once you reboot your xbox after install.

I burn the disc with imgburn start it up it won't load with the regular side and it won't load with xell

OK it's glitching fine then.
Did you try to updte the dash by using the official ms update or by using multibuilder or another rgh update method?
If you update the dash on an rgh through the official ms update it will cause an ldv error. If that's the problem read here

On an RGH always update the nand before using official ms update!

I think he has run the official 14699 MS update before he updated to the 14699 freeboot. If my assumptions are correct then you would need to correct your LDV by checking out Martin C's guide and also rebuilding your 14699 Freeboot with xeBuild Gui 1.1 might simplify things a little for you.
