Xbox Dosnt always boot

I am haveing a problem with my xbox if i leave it off for X amount of hours it starts to frag i turn the chip off and boot it to MS Dash and the clock always need setting

then it might boot or i need to set the clock again

any info on what this could be?

it dose the on then off then on then off then on frag (flashing red and green)

All of the forums seem to point the problem to missoldering or fittings, I would really like to know WHY all of a sudden, these Xboxs do this. I could understand first or second day gameplay, but months though.

On standard XBOX's(chip off) the clock needs setting every 24 hours.

??? Never heard that before!

Isn't there a battery on the MOBO that keeps the clock settings when it's off?

Like on a PC? I know when ever I disconnect the PSU from the MOBO I have to reset my clock... almost as if there's a little battery on the PSU...

Just a hunch.
