XBOX frags w/mod chip off

I have a v1.6 XBOX, XECUTER 2.6CE, latest X2 bios and everything works fine when the chip is on. Everything boots accordingly etc, etc. But when I turn off the modchip, the XBOX starts to frag. Any ideas to why this is happening. The HDD is also locked, used config magic.

the motherboard may be damaged in some smalll way it happend to me befor hade to get new motherboard.

Do you have the MS dash on the c drive only

Yea...all the C is backed up....

Actually I just opened it up and re-soldered the pin-header...a little better this time...and it works out fine now. Thanx for all the help y'all...
