Since my old matrix chip died on me last month, I ordered an Xecuter 2.6CE mainly for rescueing my brand-new 160 Gb (locked) HDD.
Xbox is version 1.0
Had some problems doing the wire install (LED's don't light up with the "long" red wire not connected), but then it booted just fine.
So I connected HDD and DVD ... frag, disconnected both ... boot, connected HDD ...boot
So it seems the box will not boot with the DVD rom connected .. how is this possible ? I really don't understand ... anyone else encountered this ?
