Hi guys, First and foremost props to Team Xecuter for such a great product.

I have an interesting predicament going on that never used to occur recently, maybe it was do to my constant moving of my xbox between myself and my friends house, but here it goes:

I installed the chip back in September, installation successful, flash bios successful, Evo-X installation successful.
Able to boot with modchip on into dashboard ok,
able to boot into msdash: ok

Now, I can boot into Evo X and XCL no problems, but when I try to boot into the MSDash by disabling the modchip, i get a lovely green and red fragging light on my xbox and I the tv displays that there is an error with my xbox :(

I tried updating the X3 1959 Bios to see if that would make a difference, but it did not.

I have also attempting installing Slayer 2.6 autoinstaller with and without stealth to see if that made a difference, but same story, frag on ms dash boot w/ modchip off.

Tried using slayers 2.6 msdash rebuild no dice either.

Has anyone else encountered such a thing?

On a positive note, I figured out why my Steel Battalion kept rebooting when I pressed the Ignition button, it turns out its sending the same signal
as the X3 igr. After disabling the IGR from the modchip, when I press the Ignition button my SB controller, it no longer resets, yay, I can play!

Happy holidays all.

I cannot boot to the m$ dash.

I just get a screen saying:

"Your Xbox needs service. Please call XboX customer support"

Modchip works and everything. I find this mind boggling

Actually, I'd check the d0 trace's continuity. Especially check the left side of the d0 trace. If the left side of the trace is broken, that would cause the M$ dash to be unbootable, unless you accessed it after enabling the chip on the Xbox's bootup.

Well see, that is the strange thing. If i enabled the modchip and lets say I want to change the time, If i use the slayer option in the system properties to change the xbox time, it'll go into the m$ dash and I can change the time, check out the save games, check out how much space im using/have free.

Its still so peculiar, I'll be able to disassemble my xbox day after tomorrow to find out if my continuity is good.

CableNCC, your harddrive is likely not locked. This will produce error code 05 in white numbers in the top left-hand corner of the screen. All you have to do is lock the harddrive. The MS dash can be booted into from another dashboard or from the X3 chip itself, but the MS Bios will display error 05 if the harddrive is not locked, this is the bios error screen not a dashboard error screen.

Oh hrrm... you know, I do have my harddrive unlocked because i just recently went from a 160hdd to a new 250gb hdd. I left it unlocked purposely because I was going to sell this xbox to another person and get a new one.

I will try locking the harddrive to see if that makes a difference or not. I didnt think about that aspect.

I will be able to give it a try tonight and see, if that doesnt work Its going to have to wait till tomorrow when I have more time to open it up and take a look.

Whew...finally able to fool around with my Xbox.

hwoBU, you are the man, it was as you stated, as soon as I locked my Xbox, I was able to boot to the MS dash when the modchip is disabled.

I appreciate all the time you guys took to assist me in my predicament.

Thank you very much Xcronus, xboxmania, althekiller, and especially hwoBU.

Hope you guys have a safe New Year.

svr2011 backup not working, HELP!

Hey guys!

I have a modded xbox 360, of course. I obtained it from a few trades and have no way of finding out exactly how it is modded or what firmware etc it is, unless I find out somehow tongue.gif

Anyways, I've always made back-ups for my games as I like to keep the original in mint-condition.

The image I created should be good. Anyways, I backed-up Smackdown vs Raw 2011 and burned it to a DVD+R DL disk on the slowest speed with the right break number and all that. But when I put it in my xbox all it says is "play dvd" and treats the game like a DVD. I am using IMGburn btw.

I do know that my xbox's drive is a benq/phillips. Would it be a firmware issue or something? I have made back-ups of other games that work perfectly, some of these include: Skate 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Prince of Persia, etc.

Is there any way of updating my firmware (If I have any?) or what?

Please help!

Thanks!

Re: svr2011 backup not working, HELP!

this sound like a firmware update may be required as it is a new game i had ixtreme 1.6 on mine and none of the kinect games would work updated to 1.0 or 1.1 and now all is fine as for updating look in hacking forum and and see what you can find
