Hi guys, I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question since I got an x-bit mod chip but I don't know where to turn to help on this problem. My problem is that I had my xbox up and running with the chip, everything was nice. then my fiance knocked the xbox off the couch and I guess it landed on the external part of the chip that controls the bank switches. anyways, the switches broke off so I re-soldered it back on but no matter what i try the xbox turns on and off a couple times then frags, i checked the board for cracks, but can't seem to find anything. the xbox seems to be ok with the chip ripped out of the box, so I dunno. I even tried to reflash the banks in case the banks got jolted in the drop. ANY help on this issue would be greatly appreciated, I don't feel like buying more stuff.

these are Xecuter forums, so you'd prolly wanna hit up the x-bit forums for assistance with your problem.
he said the box works fine with the chip ripped out......so the external switch might be giving u problems.....can u just leave the switch off on the x-bits? or have u tried thatXCronus said:
also did the chip look misaglined when u opened the box?
something is going to give out on it soon.....just how high up was it when you dropped it....?
also, maybe the area around the xbit chip was damaged due to possible shifting of the dvd drive

lol that is good just put the X3 in and you will be overwelmed (in a good way) with the features that you will forget about the "dropping incindate" (i cant spell at all)
