Well, I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you, RoaZtedPuppy. I believe, given the money and time, it would be quite feasible to do what Bartimus said. All you really need to do is put in three LCD screens: one in the back of each head rest and one where the CD deck goes. (I think there are even aftermarket headrest you can buy that already have TV screens in them. <knock knock>) After that, it's just a matter of putting three modded boxes in the trunk, so you don't have to switch out your games on the fly. Just select from a list. Sounds like a good idea to me! The most difficult part would be extending the wires for the controllers (or go wireless) and powering the box. But even that is not too difficult.

Bartimus:
Hey, how about you do that in a panel van! Then, just put 4 LCD screens and 4 XBoxs in the back. Course, if you still need the vehicle for practical transportation... that idea is out. :)

RoaZtedPuppy:

I was wondering what about it was so impossible?
I haven't researched it fully, but i have researched lcd monitors with dual a/v inputs. Those sell for about 400-600 a piece including wireless two channel headphones to listen to.
Splitting the same Video signal to 3 monitors is simple enough.

So, Connecting three xbox's to 3 LCD's with one xbox's video feed split into three for each LCD and the other two xbox's directly to the headrest lcd's. Wireless headphones for each headrest lcd for independant audio/video/gaming. To my understanding is completely possible.

So..the only thing i have not researched is the ability to take apart the DVD dongle.. extend the wires a few metres and install it into the dash...worse comes to worse.. you just use a controller coming out from under the seat. And System-Link.. which shouldnt be a problem..

As long as you have the battery power to run it, it should be fine..

Personally, when I'm playing on my box and forget where I live, I'm deliberatel;y trying to forget about the wife racking up the credit card or the kids having wrecked the furniture. Me having GPS on the box may result in the complete destruction of my box, thus voiding the usefulness.

Oh, life's paradoxes :)

I like the Idea I dont know where one would begin, but I like it. Maybe it can be done with a barebones dualboot linux setup? Best of luck to whoever takes this Idea and runs with it.

kimosabe, you are out of line here.

I'm sorry to say it that directly, but you are. Even if you don't like his idea, you don't need to be such an jerk about it. You could have said, "Hey, I don't believe your idea to be very practical or useful." Besides, if you do decided to insult somebody, at least use enough grammer and punctuation to make your response immediately readable. Besides, what's up with your response to Blkbeard? Did you ever read http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23664?

Yes, these forums are public. Yes, anybody posting an idea or opinion is, simply by posting it, giving others permission to comment on it, Yes, those that have an opposing opinion should say so. However, they don't need to insult them or be a smartass. You can say what you feel without intentionally putting the other person down. I do believe a certain quote comes to mind. "Love others as you love yourself." It's not just Biblical; it can be used in every walk of life.

Honestly, I don't completely understand the purpose of an Xbox equiped with GPS myself, unless he is installing it into his car. That would be pretty nifty. You could, potentially save a lot of money. Sure, you could buy an in-dash setup, but those are pretty expensive. About $2000+, correct? Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe one could save a lot of money.

LoL, I will admit, that was a pretty good response, kimosabe! I chuckled pretty good at that one.

Nice link. Great for the wow factor, but sounds like a lot of work when a PC100 system, or cheap laptop might be better. The idea of gaming on the road doesn't appeal to me - something about keeping hands on the wheel and eyes on the road :)
