Hey

Just had a couple of questions about a internal hard drive that i would like in my Xbox:

1) Which brand would be the best for my Xbox, many say Maxtor are not good, and Western Digital are better but would like some point of views please.

2) When i buy it i will probably purchase a 200GB hard drive, now i have already backed up everything on my Xbox to my computers hard drive, so all that is safe. So if i want to boot games from my Xbox as i dont have many disks left, what do i do to do this?

Thats i think, if i missed something please mention it.

Thanks

1. Anything will work. I personally use Western Digital. See the link in my sig for a list of lockable drives if you want to use LIVE.
2. I don't really understand what you are asking here. DVD2Xbox will allow you to rip the game from the disc to the Xbox hard drive.

When you do what? What are you expecting the A button to do? Why would you get a 200 gig drive if you weren't going to put games on there?

I've had issues with seagate 120s on two seperate occasions. Got a WD instead, and all was good. I would just say to go with Maxtor or WD to play it safe. Those are what all of my friends have put in theirs, and they all work just fine.

I have never had trouble with Western Digital HDDs. I even have one from 1998 in my server and it still works like new! Anyway, I purchased a Western Digital WD3200JB 320GB hard drive for my Xbox and it works perfectly with XBMC and DVD2XBOX. With 2 day shipping, it costs around $150 from westerndigital.com
