I am going to get an XBox and I want it to work much like my PS2. In my PS2 I have the HD Loader disk and a harddrive to load games onto. What Modchip or program do I need to do this and where is a good place to get this. Also what Harddrives are compatible ( size and brand ). Thank you for any help.

u could go two seperate ways with this, the question is can you solder and do you want to take it all apart....etc...the down and dirty way, or do you want to just mod it using an exploit..........i would go in and solder just because the x3ce chip is simply amazing.....
post back if you want to hardmod or softmod the box and as you get more specific on what you want and how you want to get it, people will help you out a good deal in these forums......

Yeah I can solder a chip in. That's no problem. It is just that I don't know what chips to get or where to put them. I'm not afraid of taking it apart and soldering b/c the inside of an X Box isn't that complex to the eye.
Anyhow so the X3ce is the type of chip that I want to install in it? If so what hard drive do I put in it. What is the biggest and the brand of hard drive that I should put in it?

well.....first put the chip in by following the guides that you can find just about everywhere, then you can stick a new hard drive in. i think the only thing you really need to look out for as you buy an hd replacement is that it is ide.......i don't think SATA is compatable......i just bought a 400 gb hard drive to replace the 160 i have installed now and have heard succsess stories with hard drives this large so it should be alright.....once you put the chip in and flash it with the 3294 bios, there are tools in the bios to setup your new hd.....great guides on this website......http://x3.bustedchain.com/disktools.html
well, go buy your chip and post back if you need help with instalation.....good luck....

(edit)
oh ya and use this site to help you out in finding a compatable hard drive......its great
