LITEON 83850 v1 XBox is LT+ 1.1 on a spoofed drive - how to update to lt 2.0

Hey Guys,

I have an xbox360 which has a 83850C drive spoofed as a 74850C drive.

The xbox update now upgrades all drives to the new 02510C drive.

How do I proceed here to modding the xbox.

Do I update the xbox with the latest dash and get the drive FW updated? since it's a spoof, would it not screw the drive up and the original key will be lost? Thus resulting in the drive not working with the xbox.

or Do I make a backup copy of the key that is on the drive, save all the information and then attempt to update the dashboard which will update the firmware on the dvd drive and try to spoof the drive again with the new LT2.0+.

I have never modded any spoof drives and I'm not sure how to proceed with it, I have modded a lot of xbox's wwho had their original drives in but never a spoofed one.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks. :biggrin:

Why have you spoofed the drive, why did you not just flash 74850C firmware to it?? the hardware is compatible..
1. Reflash drive with original 74850C firmware and obviousley your key etc.
2. Update dash.
3. Reflash new drive revision to LT 2.0 with your key etc.

Thanks, didn't know about the hardware compatibility.

I will do as you have stated;
can we flash a 83850C firmware on a 74850Cas well? cheers :)

if you update any phat lite-on it will become fw 0251 as all phat lite-ons have same firmware after dash update. just load orig fw 0251 and insert your key and flash to lt+2.0

Worked Wonders, all good and working smooth on 2.0 =D
Just threw up the Original FW and updated the dashboard and then modded the xbox again.
