XBox Is OK, but something strange happens...

Hi.

First off all I completely SUCK at soldering so bear with me.

I've ordered a X3 and a Xapt3r. Got the instalation right the 1st time even though my hands shoke (?) like jelly while tightening the xapt3r screw. Thing is I was browsing this forum, when I saw falc0's thread about installing the LAN\HD wires without soldering.

I did follow his tutorial, and I only changed one thing which I think has nothing to do with it. Insted of tightening the small tube to the solder point of the LAN, I just tightened the smalltube to the wire and then placed it in the solderpoint and taped it. The Lan Led works FINE.

On contrary the HD Led is always lightened up... even if the xbox is doing nothing.

The attached file shows in which pin I connected the cable.

So what did I do wrong?

(again please don't flame me for my inexistant soldering skills , wonderfull mspaint skills or my sh*tty english, as I'm not a native speaker.)

His diagram is for the top of the Xbox - The tutorial is for the bottom. When I seen it a few hours ago... I almost posted the same thing. Flipping the board over, makes it top right instead of top left.

So... did I put it in the right socket I assume.

Why is this happening? faulty cable or frontpanel? :p everything else works wonders.

oh and that picture attached was supposed to be a drawing of the connector (notice the black line around the dots? ta-dah!)
