Xbox just turns Off

Hello,

Installed my X3 via the solderless xapter. Everything seemed to go fine. Booted into FlashBIOS perfectly. Then When I went to flash the bios the first time, it failed. I think I had the switches wrong. So I Changed the switches and reflashed onto the first bank the latest bios from xbins.

Now, when i go to start from that bank. It turns on and then off straight away.
Backup bios works fine, but i've tried several bios's and none worked. Still able to boot with that backup and the chip disabled (into msdash) so I'm pretty sure the D0 is ok.

Xbox is V1.0

any ideas as to what is causing this?

Nope.

But it sounds exactly like what I just did. Although I don't understand where my backup bios is. Is that the original Xbox bios that came with it?

I find it funny we have same name, same version of xbox and same problem. LOL.

What file are you flashing?

I'm flashing "X3 3294.bin" oddly enough, i flashed the chip with a 256k evox bios and it worked fine. (that bios was M8plus.bin)


and nick backup bios is just the flashbios bios that you get holding the on button and the eject button. But the original bios (non modchip) works fine anyway

so how have you got your switches set when you do the flash - should be "on on off off"

I've tried the first 1 meg bank On On Off Off and the second Off On Off Off
