Hi all, Ive got a Xecuter 3 modded xbox with evox dash and two pc's. All connected by a billion 5100 modem/router. The problem is the connection btwn the PC's and the Xbox. I cant FTP with IE, CuteFTP, for that matter, I cant ping the Xbox with cmd. The other two PC's can transfer files just fine though. I tried changing the IP address in EvoX to match the range of my PC's IP address of 192.168.1.50 and 51. But after every change it reverts back to 192.168.100.10 even when static ip is turned on. Any help would be appriciated.

Just an easy little mistake you could make, but be sure you are saving the changes in evox, and not just hitting "B" after making the changes.
- Im sure im using the right cable, cat-5 straight thru.
- Saving changes? How? What I just did was change the IP address, select done, press A then scroll to the bottom of the settings menu and select exit.

Are you using a cd? If so you cant save changes, you need to set up the IP and all that, and then burn the .iso to a disk.

Even better - just go into X3 Config Live and use the FTP function in there.
Set the IP address and subnet and reboot, booting again into X3 Config Live.
Try and ping - if succesful, connect with user/pass of x3.

LOL, I just love computers. I tried the X3 FTP before but it didnt work out. After realizing that I cant save to evox thanks to threeballspin I tried X3 FTP again and it works. No messing with settings or stuff, X3 FTP just decided to work. Damn, I love computers ...
