i have what is probably an extremely dumbass question, but here i go... Can i have the X3 Bios and the linux bios both on the chip at once? i wanna boot one HD with linux, and the other with th x3 bios and evox etc. I have a dual HD setup. Please lemme know!

i wasn't sure about the Bios size, where can i find the dip switch diagram so i can flash the right banks?

why would you need two hdd's if your running linux? Besides the fact that the rootfs file may pretty much make your game saves limited but unless you are scared of going on live with same hdd as linux hdd....BWT gentoox is the greatest

Not just was that a dumb ass question, but it was almost the same dumb ass question I was gonna ask. I just got a little lazy and decided to get a X3CP-LCD-Thingy first. To save me converting two game ports to USB.

I intend to use the X3 1959 on banks 1-2-3-4, Cromwell/Linux on 5-6-7-8,
And put Flash BIOS v3.03 on the 256k backup.
Would that be the safest way to go. :?:

Help ME Please! Need to spoof Liteon as Liteon..
Basically I have 2 Liteons, one broken and the other perfect. I wanted to put the perfect one in the xbox that had the broken one but dont have the slightest idea of how to spoof it.. I have both keys and everything and am using jungle flasher. both liteons are on LT. Thanks in advance!

just load up your dummy from your broken one and let JF autoload ixtreme
then flash to your good one (lite-on erase and whatever)
if you are flashing to a different lite-on revision, jungleflasher will put up a fight (warnings and such) but you can flash 7xxx firmware to an 8xxx and it will work fine, for example

why don't you just swap the PCB (green boards) that would be a whole lot easier
a couple wires would need to soldered (for the eject motor) but that shouldn't be too hard.
but if you don't want to do that, you will need your dummy that you used to flash your drive originally from your xbox
if you don't have that dummy.bin and you have LT on that drive, you will need to MRA hack to extract your firmware
that is way more work and soldering than swapping the PCB boards

id do that joe. swap out the pcb's, but it depends on the persons soldering skills. thats probably the easiest way to do it.

then flash that firmware to the new one, regardless of the drive revision
