Xbox Live and X3

I have been thinking about this question for a long time now. Can you use Xbox Live with copied Xbox games? If the modchip is activated you can play these games but you can´t use LIVE, and if you deactivate the mod-chip you can use LIVE but not with copied games.

Or can you use LIVE with the mod-chip activated but IF you get banned you will never be able to play with LIVE again.

In that case, are you easily banned?
Can they see if you´re using a mod-chip or not?

What about if you load the copied game with the modchip enabled, then disable it before you connect to live?

Really? How do you do that? I mean turn the X3 off while playing... i thought the only way was to shut it down everytime.

When I've been playing games, I have enabled and disabled the switch on my current chip X2.3B Lite. It doe'snt turn the xbox off or anything. The chip inserts the xbox code at the launch of an unsigned game/app. So it only needs to be enabled when you launch a game/app. It should be the same for the X3. I'm getting mine on Saturday. I can't wait.

They also ban you if you have had your hdd upgraded after you have signed up to live. So if you want to upgrade your hdd, do it before signing up to XBOX live.

Just disable the modchip when you have launched the game. But read the other XBOX LIVE forums first because someone said about an AUTO Off feature needs disabling too or something like that.

Uhhh... I don't think this will work.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you're saying you can turn on the XBox with the chip enabled, run your dashboard, select your game from the list, go into it, and then shut off your chip and just play on Live? It doesn't work that way, or at least in theory it doesn't!

When you signed up for LIve, you gave M$ permission to look at what BIOs you are running. It is true: you could shut the chip off, but you are still running the Xecuter Bios! They will see that and ban you. I think.
