xbox live banning help

ive looked through a few xbox live help subjects and just wanted to make sure that im getting this right.

i've already signed up to xbox live before i modded
if i switch my hard drive i will be banned.

heres my question...if i change my accout, but use the same eeprom, will i be banned, this is with a new hard drive in the system?

yes, your HD is linked to your EEPROM. so get anew virgin EEPROM and sign onto live with your new HD for you not to get banned...

yea thats how you should do it. Or you could jus keep you original eeprom (but edit slightly) and hack the firmware of the hdd but no one really wants to do that..eeproms are only about 5-10 dollars (US) anyway..

just out of question what would i need to edit in my eeprom?

i found a nice little program that can edit volume serials

Sorry, not sure about the eeprom editor, but wanted to give you a heads up....

The volume serial is not what you want to change sadly. It would be nice and easy but it is the hardware serial that is lodged in the firmware of the drive. The volume serial changes everytime you format a partition, and there are tools to manually change it to what you want, but it will not do much for you in the banning case...

eeprom editer/loader to use is config magic. Just dont fool around with the settings or you may really screw up you xbox.
