Ok this is a theory it worked once I THINK. ok... my sisters friend was modding his box so i told him about the new xbl thing. He didnt seem to worried about his account because it was about up anyway so he just deleted it and got a new tag. he then upgradded his HDD and sighned on with the new gamer tag. Idk if he got luck or xbl just overlooked him. What do u all think?

That sounds pretty normal. Since he deleted his old account and created a new account with the new HD, why would Microsoft ban him? Also, you might want to look up the "marriage theory" on these forums and Xbox-Scene for a better explanation.

well i was thinking because they already have his eeprom and everything on file theyd see it again but im think it registers as a new one (basicaly).

They would have his EEPROM on his old name, not the new one. He should be good to go as long as he doesn't go on Live with the chip on...

thats what i was thinking. Im sure u know of the HDD and eeprom maraiage theory. But what i thought was maby it married the GT to it as well so once he deleted it or whatever he did, and used the new one it married the HDD and the eeprom to the gt (new "3way" marriage altogether). I have no idea if maby hes just getting really lucky i have no idea, but if anyone has any more ideas let me know.

PS im modding my box so id rather not get banned either but really.. .it may just be easyer to have 2 xboxes.

Its not necessary to have two Boxes. Its space taking, and money wasting. Make an XBOX all in one and you can do all of the cool stuff with one item. Trust me, its more convieniant.

Im proud to say ive been banned 9 times, i finally got it right on the tenth. This what you have to do, id put a new eeprom on the first 7 times id get banned the next day, i got a new OFFICIAL XBOX LIVE VIRGIN hardrive and a new eeprom and i was on for a week. I now bought another xbox live virgin hdd and an a new xbox live virgin dvd drive, and a new eeprom. ive been on for 3 months, so i think that it marries ur dvd drive hdd and eeprom together.

I can honestly say I've NEVER been banned!!! I don't know how you all do it, i don't really play xbox live much, more of a leisurely xbox live gamer, maybe that's the key. It's pretty much imposssable to get banned when you're using a bios that blocks live. I've even made the mistake to click on a live thing when the chip was on, didn't log in because of the live blocking.

Not everyone is an X3 user, the BIOS release of the X2 I used to have didnt have protection and that led to my first and last ban. The switch for Enable/Disable was ard to keep up with, thats why I praise the Hold Power Button/Quick Tap startup.

right behind you
Just banned for first and hopefully last time....

I still have a clean stock hd, so thats not prob, but I do need a new eeprom.

I know I'll probably have to purchase one, but does anyone on this site not want their xbox to go on live and is willing to donate an eeprom?

Well, I sure as sh*t didn't try to get banned. Most of the people who have been banned have gone on Live before they modded. I played Xbox Live a few months before and then when I modded my Xbox and went on live....banned (A.K.A. The maraiage theory) and was really pissed off. That was back in November, still haven't fixed it either.
