Help! I have installed my Xecuter3 CE in my xbox, and it works fine. I flashed it with the 1959 BIOS, and I am unable to connect to Xbox Live, and play! How do I connect to the MS server??? Thanks!
no power and eject is for the backup bios, if you want to boot the the regular MS dash you must hold the power button down for about a second. (the dip switch LED should be red)a94060 said:get into the original ms dash by holding the POWER and EJECT buttons together. im not an xpert on xbl ,but i know how to get into the m$ dash
I had the same problem it was because my xbox tried to log into xbl while the chip was enabled all you have to do is go into the origional dashboard with the chip disabled which with your chip is long hold power during boot and then go into settings without a game in the drive and choose the network setting it will say the ip is on manual turn it to automatic and then let it test itself it will find a new ip to go through and you will be fine. You can not sign onto xbl with the chip enabled or the server will not let you connect it sucks but it saves people from being cheated out of wins in ranked games.dcarrington01 said:Help! So just to make things a bit clearer to me... If I upgraded my OEM 10g hdd to a 200gig before I ever use XBox Live, and I install Xbox live onto my xbox after the upgrade, then I could use the 200 gig drive and it will work with live? Or the only HDD you can ever use with Live is the OEM 10g one?dirkamiss said:NOTE: If you have logged onto xbl before modding your box and then you mod your box and upgrade the hard drive. YOU MUST USE THE FIRST HARD DRIVE THAT YOU USED ORIGINALLY ON XBL. If you havn't upgraded your drive don't worry about it, but remember that if you did upgrade you must switch it out and replace with the original if you did upgrade your hard drive.
So basically just use the same hard drive all the time for xbl, which ever one you first used you must keep using it.
I hope that helped

How to play on Live with an upgraded HD
Playing on Live is easy with an upgraded HD. It must always be locked. The original MS BIOS, when the modchip is off, demands a locked HD or else your Xbox won't boot. You may ask if a locked HD is ok to do with the modchip on. Yes, it's okay.
Does this have to do with you not using xbox live on your system yet and upgrading ... or with you previously using xbox live with your OEM HDD and then upgrading?
You don't need a memory card though it makes the process a whole lot easier.roger_w said:It is possible to move the xbl account to a new drive, but only if you got a memory card to save the account to. So if you got xbl on the OEM drive and have put in a bigger one, just move the account to the bigger drive.
