I just want to be clear on this whole xbox live banning thing. i have a 160 GB hard drive and am planning on buying the X3. i am already using xbox live and want to use it after i mod my box. Here is my question, will i get banned if put my new 160GB hard drive in with the old hard drive eeprom? and if i wont get banned how do i go about doing that? i heard there is something called configmagic that will do that?? thanks

if you change your hdd and keep the old eeprom you will get banned....

if you want to change the hdd you really need to change the eeprom...

and installing an x3 or whichever modchip doesnt affect what i said before.

good luck...

P.S: if you have an 1.6 version then you need an 1.6 eeprom.

If you have already played on live before you update your HDD you will get banned when you update it.

However there is a way to have 2 seperate HDD's on your xbox. You will use one when you do not want to play on live and use the other when you want to play on XBL. It will cost you a bit but hey as long as it works right?

make sure you do not let anyone who has been banned before (flagged gamer tag) play on your Xbox with the larger HD. You will get banned and then be flagged.
