I have the X3 chip on a 1.6 xbox. Everytime someone accidently select xbox live on any games in my HD, my xbox will copy over my evox dashboard file. Changing it back to the default xbox dashboard. Is there anyway I can keep that from happen? Like make my evox dashboard write protected.

When I have xbox file explorer running, and I accidentally select dashupdate in one of the game folders, it starts adding files to the c drive, I just turned it off straight away and it's fine. I guess I didn't give it chance to get that far.

put evox on E: drive or F: drive and set the option in x3cl to boot to that drive and put your evox dashboard name to the top of the priority list.

it sounds like you have it on C: drive and you renamed it to the m$ default dash name.

You could also keep it named as evoxdash.xbe and change the boot order in the X3 bios... Which I belive has evoxdash as the first dash to load anyway.....
