Xbox live software/hardware violation

hey guyz

i just installed my xecuter 2.6 ce and well i flashed my bios and everything but i cant communicate with xbox live anymore. the problem is i had it disabled the whole time when on live. i have a 80gb hdd yet to install....would that help?...can you guyz give any advice on my problem thanks

What BIOS did you flash to your chip? The X2CL series and the later releases of the older 49xx BIOS would block access to Xbox live so that you would not get banned. Boot with the chip disabled and you should connect fine. From what I understand not all BIOSes will do blocking in order to prevent bans, I think the EvoX BIOS is one of them. So if you had your chip flashed with EvoX and ran a game that was Live! aware (like Halo2) it may have connected and banned your box.

I'm not 100% on this issue, other than that the bit with the Xecuter BIOSes blocking Live! access. Anyone is welcome to jump in and set me straight.
