After getting RROD on one of xbox360 and fixing it with the rrod kit from team-xectuer. I face yet another problem...Drive was originally stock and never touched and i went on xbox live to update and it loaded and restarted. When the white logo is flying everywhere, it freezes and i shut it down. Turn it back on and it shows me a Status error. I tried two different hard drives, i tried the sync method, i'm not sure dashboard i was running on before the update so i tried like 3 different dashboard updates via usb. No luck with that, any idea that someone can help me with here?

Disconnect all devices.

Insert a USB stick with $Systemupdate on there.

Start with 13604, then go 13599, 13146, etc..

If you leave a HDD connected it will try to read it from there.

What Martin C said will definitely work. If you need to troubleshoot an error code, you can always visit:

http://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-360/troubleshoot/update-xbox-360/system-update-help
this once happened to me while I was modding one of my friend's console.

What Martin said worked. you MUST disconnect the HDD
and load the dash updates in the correct order (this is because we dun know which dash you were trying to update to).

you can get the latest dash from here
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/how-to/update-xbox-360/system-updates

others you have to do some Googling.

I was reading around earlier and i was wondering do i copy and paste all the stuff in "$Systemupdate" in the usb or keep the whole $Systemupdate file in the root of the usb?

Just in case some else has the same issue i did. I am going to post a summary of what i did.

1. Got RROD
2. Overheated the CPU and GPU
3. Turn on and updated from xbox live
4. Downloaded completed turned off and turn back on and freezer and pixelated
5. Take out the plug because button was no responding
6. RROD again(secondary code 0034)
7. Installed Team Xecuter RROD Kit
8. Overheated again
9. Started working again except I'm stuck on update loop
10. Since i was updating from xbox live, i was getting the latest update which was 13604(may be different, considering when you read this). Found the Dashboard update and transfer the entire folder in the ROOT folder of the USB(make sure you right click and check to see if it is in "fat32"
11. Take out hard drive and ensure power and av cable are plug in. Plug in usb with dashboard update and just let it run.
12. I'm not sure it this was normal but i got rrod of death again after plugging in my usb. I over heated the thing(secondary code 0010). It worked perfectly fine after that though.

Hope this will help others in the future!
