Xbox Live updates...

ok so my xbox is modded...wanna try and see if i can play xbox live or if i get banned...but i don't know if it is safe to install the latest update (May)...updates won't cause my xbox to stop working?

I installed the update and have not been banned yet, fw 1.2

you can take the updates(need to)
i would not play on live unless you know for sure you have the new ixtreme firmware
