somewhere WITH a X3
just turn the chip off and go online, and use the account recovery feature for xblive... i don't remember exactly how it works cuz i haven't done it in a while, but if you've never used that xbox on live before, you might need the disk to acces live for account recovery... or maybe newer xboxs make it so you don't need the disk, just a subscription code....

short story: account recovery

I think that is you only option. XBOX Live! cannot be on two xbox at once. Some how they know. I think through the MAC Adress.

Alright, let me further explain. Suppose gamer tag 1 is on xbox 1. You would like to take gamer tag 1 and put it on xbox 2. The problem is that xbox live has gamer tag 1 tied to xbox 1 through the MAC adress. You can try coping like you said earlier. But I also dont know exactly what to copy. I do know that if you copy the hole E drive you will get it. LOL. Good Luck, and may the MOD godz be with you.

Hey,
The info is in the Tdata or Udata folders somewhere.
You can spend the rest of your life looking for them to FTP or you can do it the easy way.

The easy way:

Do an account recovery or get a memory unit.

Media center.

Hi guys. :)

Well im not sure if this is the right place but here goes anyway.

Basically i bought a 360 from a mate for £50, I knew it was modded/chipped and was banned from xbox live but my sole intention as to use it as a media center.

I took the xbox home, set up media center and all set up fine however when i tried to stream a movie on the xbox i click the movie to play and i get a message saying i need a media update, It says please log into xbox live and play the media again to download the media update!

Now obviously i cant log into xbox live becasue its banned.

Is there anything i can do? Does anybody know of a way around this?

Thanks in advance. :)

Re: Media center.

I'm not sure, but maybe you can get the update on a disc from xbox.com and then put it on your console. I don't know whether a banned console will have that feature to connect to Media Center since it requires a network connection and the ban cripples that function.

Re: Media center.

You can connect to the Media Center on a banend console however it corrupts the Optional Media Update so no mpeg4 streaming. You could convert all of your videos to mpeg2 or WMV and it should work. The optional media update is signed to each console the same as any live game.

Tversity is a great substitute works like a charm on a banned console.
