Xbox live?

Ok I have the Xecuter 2 and wanted to get Xbox Live. So bought the Xbox Live starter kit and tried to set it up but it says that I have a “communications error”. Am I even able to go on Live with the Xecuter 2? If so, what am I doing wrong to get the “communications error”? If I can't use Live then what other online programs can I use?

Sorry if these questions have already been asked but I did try my best to find the answers.

Sorry, we need some more information. Are you attempting to use the X2 bios to log onto Live? That'll get you banned FAST.

You still use the stock dashboard for Live. That's all you can use. Your chip must be disabled to get on Live. You can't even get on Live with the chip turned on (unless you have the M$ bios on one of your banks and that bank is selected.). Answer your question?
