Before i was about to flash my Zephyr i had correctly installed all the cables and soldered correctly etc and made sure i didn't solder into other connections. I also followed this video [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkuhC7exeow&feature=related"][TUT] Reset Glitch Hack Tutorial (PHAT) - Team-Xecuter Coolrunner Install-Program (Part 1) - YouTube[/ame] at 15.40 on the video i plugged the power supply on the xbox didn't turn on connected the nand x to the cool runner and to my laptop using usb ready for jtag tool and to flash it, setting it to prg and phat and then all of a sudden my laptop switches off but i was able to turn it back on.. but my cool runner or nand x fused because the lights were on but then were not on after this happend.. i had the usb to nand x to coolrunner and power cable plugged in. any one able to help me out?

edit:eek:n the good side my xbox and laptop are both are ok so looks like either nand x or coolrunner are broke...

edit2: found out that my usb port on the laptop where i used to try flash coolrunner is fcuked. although nand x seems to be working with red and yellow light coolrunner how ever is not working and isn't showing a light at all.

update with pictures

So basically, the NAND-X doesn't seem to power on at all once connected to the USB cable?

Have you tried connecting it to another computer or through a USB powered hub?

good point i'll have a try of another laptop and pc in the house tommorow and report back on that, but problem was it was lighting up before so i don't know what is going on, but it's weird because it fused my laptop kinda thing which is also weird.. can the cool runner / nand x be fused? also blakey is one funny guy off on the buses haha!

I can't see how your laptop rebooting would cause things to stop working, try another computer and report back.

People ask me all the time about my avatar, I thought it seemed appropriate (after some elbow nudging from TJ lol) :D!

btw it still didn't work but nand x works now i didnt relise disconnecting the cable from that to coolrunner would make it work looks as though the cool runner is fried like the usb port i originally used on the laptop.

So the NAND-X powers down as soon as you connect the JTAG programming cable to your CoolRunner?
yeah but the coolrunner was showing a red light, i basically flicked between the switchs when i had them plugged in and then it just went off laptop and coolrunner and nand x still works but yes powers down when jtag cable is out. i also had the power cable plugged in.
