hello ppl... aight got the x3 chip in ava dash...everything works great...now i wanna try disableling to go on Live....but when i do the long power thing the switch stays off (hd light is on though) and it says my xbox needs service with a big 05 in the top left....any help on this?....when i first installed this all worked... i tried copying all the original hd files back to my new one, and it still dont work...

also one more thing...my original MS dash didnt have the XboxLive option...if i ftp this other xboxs (my dads) C: drive to mine, will i get that option?
my Hd is locked....sorry maybe i didnt word my post right....i cant disable my chip...when i do the power thing, no lights come on the chip except the HD one...and it goes to the service screen
I have sorta the same problem but mine says 13 error (that is a dashboard error) the lites come on as they are suposta and then error I copied the contents of Cdrive and Edrive from my other XBOX and I think that is the problem because it has the msdashbord from the other XBOX and that is probley the problem I dont have the orginal HD (I had the orginal HD but I droped it off my balcney and it broke I was drunk) so I cant get the contents from it I hace tried so can I fix it so I can go to XBOX LIVE?
[whisper]the X3 does the locking/unlocking quite well[/whisper]i had the same problem man... kinda.. i tryed disabling my mod chip cuz i play live.. and i need it... and so it flashed red and green for the eject button and it said 05 big in the top left and it said on the tv get ur xbox serviced.. or something... and so i thought i was Fu*ked but i asked someone on this forum and they said to lock ur hard drive.. and i did and if F-ing [email protected] i was so happy. but in ur case.. it could be a bad solder.. maybe the d0 point...
hmm ok now it works if i do the long power thing...just my switch lights dont work? could it be defective?
ok...figured out that it is my switchs that doesnt work right...i used my dads x3 switch and it worked fine...so where do i go about getting that replaced or something...because its only been a week since i got them
cant be the cant be that could it be that I used the Cdrive from my other xbox that has a X2.2pro in it and it is a 1.0 and the other is a 1.4 you noe now that I noticed it now when I go to the MS Dashoard the Kernal is the same as my 1.0 when before it was different you noe when you wait for the warning stuff to finish it says the Kernal # like K:.... is that way
i just meant the lights arent lighting right on my x3 switch... you lost me on that post punch lol...... i can disable it, just no lights to show me its disabled
