XboX not accepting my discs

Hi guys,

I have a major problem. Over time my XboX Crystal Limited has been starting to have a hard time reading my backup games. Same goes with DVD Movies. It "lags" while playing, especially movie sequences, and sometimes it says that I have problems with my disc and that it cannot read it. Other times it wont even recognize a DVD-Rom in the DVD tray ... What could be wrong here and how to solve the problem ??

Could be the disks.. some unbranded DVD-R's cannot be read by some xbox drives..

I am using DataMart... anyone know if these are any good ?

My first dousin copies worked fine. The last movies and games are messy tho, dont really work that well, if at all.

What discs should I purchase, which ones work the best ??

make sure they are ritek G04 dye,

basically there are only a few manufacturers of DVD-r out there, ritek being one, CMC another they are just rebranded to whoever wants to sell them i.e. Datamart, datawrite, ridisc etc. Riteks dvd-r model with their G04 dye has been found to be extremely compatible and resilient. i swear by them.

Alternatively are you sure your dvd drive is not on its way out??

I don't think it's the drive on a brand new crystal xbox... But it's a possability, what drive you got in there?
