XBOX not booting up anymore

I have an xbox v1.1 modded with xecuter 2.6 bios 4978, I just flashed it with bios 5035 (the old version) using flashx, I flashed bank 1 & 2
after flashing the bios the xbox does not boot up anymore when xecuter is enabled, but it does boot up when xecuter is disabled (on ms dashboard).
all seemed to go ok when doing the flashing.

these are the step I took:

ftp flashx to c:\apps\flashx
ftp the new 5035 bios to c:\bios
ran flashx and selected the bios
applied bios to bank 1 and 2
rebooted

after rebooting, nothing shows up

I forgot to add the config file that comes with the bios, is that why it does not boot up anymore? and is there a way to get it back up?

I don't see anything
the screen just stays blank, no messages whatsoever.

the light on the eject button stays solid green.

I could not find the bios on xbins, I downloaded it from a torrent

I flashed using flashx to bank 1 and 2 (is that correct?)

I used the OLD version of 5035 on a 1.1 xbox is that correct?

I forgot to copy the x2config.ini file before flashing the bios, is this what is causing the issue??

if so, could I hookup the hard drive to my pc, unlock it, copy the file from my pc , relock and reinstall and that would fix it??


or what are my options at this point??

I know they are a lot of questions but I have been searching and I haven't found the right info.

Ok, based on your response, I can assum that the fact that I missed to copy the config file to the xbox hard drive did not cause the problem, and that the procedures I followed (from my first post) where correct, and that the bios I used was crap.

Am I correct??

Can you recommend me a company where I can buy the programmer from?? if you know anyone in canada would be best.

also, I opened up my box and I took out the modchip, it does not look like any of the newer xecuter modchips pictures I have seen, it does not even have the X2 anywhere on the board, but when it was working it said xecuter 2.6 on the screen. (I bought this box from someone else already modded)

I have notice that it does not have a bank switch selection built in, or any extra connectors on the board (like the ones for the leds), it does plug in using the pin headers to the xbox.

do I have a true xecuter modchip?? and if not, can I still use a programmer to fix?.

Maybe that is why it stoped working when I loaded the newer bios.
It was working with the 4978 bios.
I ordered the programmer, I will try to see if I can bring it back to life if not I guess another chip is the answer.
