Xbox not loading

I have an X3 with a 250 GB Maxtor drive.

Just tonight when I start my Xbox the mod chip light is blue and acts like it normally does but the screen just sits there with nothing coming up. If I run the Xbox with the X3 disabled then I get that Microsoft "Contact Service Department" message. And if I run the X3 with the backup bios it comes up with the Start FTP, Lock HDD, etc menu. I tried reflashing the bios but it didn't help. So I am getting video in the disabled and backup modes but not when booting the X3 bios. I am using the HD component pack. Everything has worked for months now so I don't understand why all of a sudden it quick on me. From what I can tell, I'm just not getting video when starting the X3 bios. I didn't think it would be the hard drive since the Xbox won't even boot up into X3 Config Live or at least it won't show up on the TV if it is booting up.

Any suggestions?

Can you switch back to the old composite video cable to see if it works. This will establish if it is an X3 problem or X3CL HDTV configuration error. If you can get back into X3CL with the original video cable try turning off all HDTV modes and then put your HDTV cable back on. Reflashing the X3 BIOS does not reset the X3CL settings.

Okay... I used the original video cabling that came with the Xbox. I pulled the X3 completely out of the Xbox and put the original hard drive back in. I started it up and it displayed the error screen with the error code 21.

I'm guessing my Xbox is f**ked but I don't see why.

I'm guessing error 21 is like a catch all code for errors that don't apply to any of the other codes. I just don't get what's going on. I was using XBMC to watch some Arrested Development then I exited to Avalaunch and tried loading a game. It locked up while loading the game so I restarted the box and all my problems started. Since then, like I said, I have completely put the xbox back to it's original state and I'm still having problems so I'm guess it is Xbox hardware and not the mod chip.

Could a solder point go bad or something along those lines? Even if nothing physical even happened to it?

I found this, don't know if it helps though

21 anywhere Typically means you're missing .xip files on your c: drive, or you have .xip's from a different (wrong) dashboard version. To fix simply restore a complete backup of the c: drive.

Thanks. But I put the original drive back into my Xbox with all of its original files so I'm thinking it's something inside the box... Any ideas?

help flashing my disc drive?

I need a flashed disc drive, but I don't have the equipment :(

Can anybody do this for me, I'll pay!

I want to flash it so I can do hot swaps for nazi zombies. Not for piracy, I promise.
