Xbox not switching on

Hi, would appreciate advice on a problem with the X3 installed on a v1.6 xbox. When the on/eject switch adaptor is installed the xbox will not turn on. When removed there isn't a problem. Is the adaptor faulty or can a problem with the modchip cause this?

Also if the adaptor is faulty can you get a round this?

Check the solder on the back of the board.

and yes you can get around it....just dont hook it up....its there to be able to boot into flashbios or with the chip disabled.....you can always disable the chip in x3cl if you want to say get on xbl....
