Hi guys, I have been a member for a while now, picked up some tricks a while back for my sons 360's, but just over 1.5 years ago, we purchased an xbox one, problems from day one on taking updates, few times we were offline updates that had to be done. but on latest update from micro* the machine rebooted and would not load up, I trying doing offline update and usb stick would not read. machine switches on, hdd makes a moise and power button flashes on and off, no pic on tv. it just jumps in out out on input on hdmi.

So we contacted micro* and they wanted £90 to fix even though it was there issue, so we decided to open up and see if we could find any errors on the internal drive, (machine already out of warranty), nothing was apparent, so we formatted the internal hdd , put files back on to it, connected back up and still the same, :: again took it apart formatted and tried to load files vis usb stick, still the same.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the internal hdd to work again. I already have the offline files saved on usb from micro*

Thanks for help in advance

Thanks riff raff. Managed to do all these steps. Software on. Reassembled xb1. Rebooted. Still black screen on tv. No signal output. Power button lit on front but pulsing - -getting brighter and then dull. Does anyone have any other ideas what could be wrong. Thanks
