xbox one update without internet

Hi guys can anybody help? right i got a xbox one from gumtree in the uk for £150, got it home put tomb raider in and all worked fine. so i wanted to put my gamer ID on it so i did a factory reset now when it gets to the updating screen it says this xbox one is banned, and im stuck at the update screen.called the guy and he will not take it back at all he said it was working fine. is there anyway i can get the xboxone to do the updates without the internet so i can just play games offline if not ive lost £150. thank you for your time guys i just wanna cry

it might be an idea to have a chat with a microsoft operative and give them the serial number of the console and ask why its been banned.

the factory reset should just reset the console's system files to the default settings having wifi on or off shouldn't have any bearing on the matter.

just to clarify how you are doing the factory reset as follows:
1) format a 2gb or 4gb usb stick to ntfs format (2gb can be used just for FactoryReset) (4gb usb stick is required if doing an offline update OSUDT2 as the file is 3.3gb bigger than 2gb) OSUDT3 is ok for the 2gb usb stick as its only 1.9gb
2) download the factory reset file (FactoryReset.zip)
3) unzip the file and put the $systemUpdate folder on the formatted ntfs usb stick
4) plug the usb into the console
5) with your left hand press and hold the bind button (the one that you sync controllers with) followed by the eject button and hold and with both pressed and held power on the console untill you here more than one beep and it should begin the reset.

If you are not following these steps then yes you are doing it wrong.

Xbox One - Banned...

Who did you buy it from?

Microsoft will not give you any information about why it was banned so you'll never know.
If your console is banned, youll never get it unbanned, Microsoft don't take kindly to exploits and other modification.

To be honest, it would be interesting to know what the previous owner was doing to get banned, obviously its something that may have threatened Microsoft, otherwise there would be no ban.

don't cry buddy just wait till they get a mod for it then sell it and get more money. for the people that don't want to get online.

did they confirm it was ban for a reason?. why did you do a factory reset
