Xbox one, press power button, makes the usual noise but doesn't turn on. I'm using a phat power brick and the light goes orange red orange. Anyone know what this could be, I presume a short somewhere, has any one had this before?

Have you tried presses and holding the power button for one minute to clear failed updates and corrupted files?
Mine just two days ago I noticed was powered off completely which was odd because I have instant on turned on. When I press the power it would ding and turn on and right back off. I pressed and held the button for a minute and then pressed again and it booted right up.
Not sure this will help or not but its worth a try.

This one doesn't even light up. Hard drive and Bluray drive have been removed just incase the fault was one of those, Swapped RF board too, No difference

I guess I was thinking that these wouldn't even turn on without the hdd and disk drive plugged in.
It's been a while since I've touched mine but if memory serves it would error out without the drive plugged in.
I only tried the once and it was the day after they first came out. I was testing for 12v on the power plug at the time prepping to install internal lights. It's been a long while.
