red power brick means you created a dead short someplace on the motherboard

A little more info on your problem would help to diagnose your problem. Any chance of posting some high res pic of your install also?

hey thanks ill take a picture when i find my camera sorry, but the install is fine, i dumped the nand twce and compared and they matched so i wrote xell but it gave it rood so i wrote back the original nand and then xell again and managed to get my cpu key. then on jtag tool i installed freeboot and then it wouldnt turn on :(

What version of jtag tools did you use?

Have you tried writing the original nand back?

Any bad blocks in the nand?

And I still cant believe that people are only dumping the nand twice! Ive had once or twice a occasion where the first two nand dumps I made had errors in and the third nand dump was a good.

So you have a red power brick that wont allow you toturn on the console? Is that right?

Youve got a short mate. Have a look around you motherboard for possible causes. Or try another power brick if you can

The direct wire method isnt a problem. No you dont use resistors with the nand-x as they are used with the lpt method. Where do you live?
